☆Hello☆
My name is Lia, it’s nice to meet you! I am a jewelry maker, but more accurately, I am an artist who just loves to create. I am always working on a project, learning something new, hunting for materials, getting inspired, or brainstorming my next creation. For me, wearing jewelry is more than a form of expressing myself— it’s a way for me to carry the small treasures I adore wherever I go. I like to think of my body as a personal gallery where I can display my artwork, the work of my favorite artists and makers, the treasure I collect, and other pretty things that make my eyes happy— whether that’s through tattoos, clothes, or jewelry. I feel so lucky that people want to add my art to their personal gallery and wear my jewelry on their bodies. I am always open to commissions—both jewelry and art—so if you like my style and have an idea for a project, but you’re not sure if it is something I can make, just reach out and ask! I’m also always striving to be inclusive with my jewelry, so if you need something in a specific size or material, let me know, and I can make it happen.
~A note on materials~
Most of my materials are sourced from local stores, purchased second-hand or vintage, or taken from old jewelry and hand-me-downs. I love repurposing materials when I can, like my partner’s broken guitar strings, and I see potential in things that would otherwise be tossed. This method of gathering materials often means that I’m not always sure what material something is. Occasionally, I have to buy findings online or in-store, in which case I can control the type of metals I use—typically sterling silver or stainless steel when given the option. If I know the kind of metal in a piece, I will include it in the product description. This method of gathering materials also means that each one of my pieces is very unique and may be only one of a few or the only one to exist! This makes it difficult to replicate something for a commission or produce multiples of an item, but I think it’s better to have a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry anyway. I can always work with you to make something similar to or inspired by another piece, but still unique. Treasure hunting for charms, beads, or one-of-a-kind items, and giving life back to unworn jewelry or outgrown toys is one of my favorite parts of the process, and it’s important for maintaining my style and personal integrity!
